No Mow May - Be part of the Buzz!

ESI has joined the buzz 🐝 #NoMowMay . Will you join us??

For the month of May we won’t be cutting our grass here in ESI Headquarters to help our native wildlife. We have already adopted a reduced mowing strategy throughout the months.

Did you know that many wild bees are threatened with extinction. This is mainly because of hunger – there isn’t enough food to support them in our landscape. If all of us chose to put our lawnmowers away for one month, we could start creating a network of places where pollinators can survive and thrive. If you don’t have a lawn, you can still help pollinators by planting a pollinator-friendly pot or window box with peat-free compost.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘆? Mowing less from April until September is one of the best ways you can help pollinators! Or Leave some areas entirely undisturbed, long grass provides safe nesting sites for insects over winter.
