ESI awarded Silver Medal in 2024 EcoVadis Sustainability rating
ESI takes social responsibility very seriously, and sustainability is a core part of our Vision. We strive to make our value chain more sustainable every day, across all our business areas. This is a continuous process that extends beyond our own company, aiming to benefit the environment and society as well.
In 2023 ESI signed up with EcoVadis to help us drive improvement on our corporate sustainability goals and offer transparency for our trading partners.
EcoVadis is a global platform that assesses and rates the sustainability management systems of companies across four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Based on their score, companies can earn a medal that reflects their relative performance compared to other companies in the EcoVadis network.
ESI has been awarded a Silver medal, this is an award for companies that score in the top 15% of all rated companies. ESI has demonstrated a strong commitment and ability to address sustainability issues in our operations and supply chain. We are delighted to have improved on last year’s score by 8 points thanks to the fantastic work by our dedicated team. A Silver medal can:
- Motivate and engage employees and suppliers to improve their sustainability practices
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities related to sustainability
- Benchmark performance against industry best practices and standards
At ESI we have a dedicated sustainability officer and a team who meet regularly to work towards improvements and efficiencies in all aspects of our organization. We are confident that we will continuously improve and have tangible results through science-based approaches.
