ESI Technologies Group are delighted to be supporting SGN via Altrad Babcock on the H100 Fife project, a world-first green hydrogen gas network, providing green hydrogen to homes, powered by wind energy.
Forming a critical part of the hydrogen storage and pipeline network, ESI has been selected to supply manual trunnion pipeline ball valves and actuated fast closing and fast opening ESD and EDP trunnion pipeline ball valves for hydrogen duty. The manual and actuated trunnion ball valves are designed, manufactured, and tested by Habonim Industrial Valves & Actuators Ltd.
Habonim, an ITT Inc. company, specialise in floating ball valves, trunnion ball valves and pneumatic actuators for demanding isolation and control applications. ESI have been Habonim’s exclusive partner in the UK and Ireland for over 20 years, working on major industrial projects, including the Gas, Nuclear and Energy sectors for SGN and Altrad Babcock respectively.
Habonim’s valve range is fully certified for hydrogen applications in the production, pipeline distribution, transportation, industrial and refueling sectors of the market. Designed to ASME B16.34 up to 1034bar, the hydrogen valve range benefits from Habonim’s patented HermetiX technology including ISO 15848-1 for zero fugitive emissions, firesafe, double body sealing and high cycling endurance. All hydrogen valves and actuators are UKEX / ATEX IIC and SIL 2 certified. ESI are currently working on projects across all sectors of the UK hydrogen market and are supported by Habonim’s extensive knowledge and reference list for valve supply to hydrogen projects across Europe, USA, China and the wider global hydrogen market.
ESI will also supply Leser UK Limited API safety valves as part of the H100 Fife project. Leser is the largest manufacturer of safety valves in Europe and one of the leading pressure safety companies in the industry globally.
