SANITRX HPX ® Rupture Disc

The SANITRX HPX ® sanitary rupture disc is a semicircular scored reverse acting rupture disc designed specifically for applications that require pressures above SANITRX LPX®. Available in sizes 1″ to 4″, this ruptured disc is available to fit between standard sanitary ferrules. NA CONNECT® flanges or SANITRX HPX fittings. SANITRX HPX® rupture discs are shipped in sanitary, environmentally friendly, non-toxic packaging.

  • Nominal Size Range: 1″ – 4″ (25 mm – 100 mm)
  • Burst Pressure Range: 10 PSIG – 500 PSIG (0,689 barg – 34.5 barg)
  • Maximum Recommended Operating Ratio: 90 or 95% of the rupture disc’s rated (stamped) burst pressure
  • Seating Configuration: industry-standard sanitary ferrules, NovAseptic flanges or SANITRX fittings
  • Service: Liquid or gas

Technical Data

To optimize service life and rupture disc performance, CDC manufacture and test each SANITRX HPX rupture disc at your specified compressible or incompressible relief conditions.

Fluoropolymer coating is available for corrosion protection on process or vent sides. Electropolished surface finishes are also available. ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1 compliance available when requested.

  • Choice of 90% or 95% maximum recommended operating ratio
  • Precision scoring on the vent side of the rupture disc (bursting disc) dome assures optimum cleanability and improves rupture disc performance
  • All rupture discs include sanitary, environmentally friendly, non-toxic packaging
  • Permanently attached three-dimensional flow direction tag provides immediate visual verification of proper rupture disc orientation within the piping system
  • Rupture disc can be operated to full vacuum
  • Available with the Continental Disc integral alarm system to remotely signal when the rupture disc has burst
